HP Procurve Console Inactivity Timer
Hi
I am new to HP procurve CLI and have only used Cisco IOS and Junos in the past. I was testing the console inactivity timer across the serial port and across the network on a spare switch which worked fine, however I had to save the config and reboot the switch for the changes to take effect.
The switch in question was a Procurve 2626, I have additonal procurve model switches, how can I find out for certain if the command requires a reboot on that specific model?
Thank you for any help.

Re: HP Procurve Console Inactivity Timer
Hi, this can be confirmed by entering console inactivity timer XX.
If it requires save and reboot, the system would automatic show notice message.

Re: HP Procurve Console Inactivity Timer
Thanks. I noticed once the command is entered you cant really delete it from the running config.
I guess it doesnt really matter as the config is not saved to the startup config.

Re: HP Procurve Console Inactivity Timer
You can remove the line in the config if you set it to zero
console inactivity-timer 0
