HPE 2920-48G Switch
Does anyone know if this switch HPE 2920-48G support vlan and fiber modules?
If I am not wrong, it supports vlan, but not sure about fiber modules

Re: HPE 2920-48G Switch
The 2920 is a very good, full-featured switch, so definitely supports VLAN and much much more.
There are several different model types, with PoE and 24- or 48-port options.
All of them contain 4 SFP ports for 1Gb transceivers, and 2 optional module slots, each supporting 2 SFP+ (that's 10Gb) transceivers (for a total of 4 optional SFP+ transceivers).

Re: HPE 2920-48G Switch
The 2920 has be rebranded to the Aruba 2920. It supports up to 256 VLANs at the same time and has two module slots in the back of the switch. There are two modules available for those slots. The first is a two port 10Gig-BaseT module that uses standard CAT6 cables. The second, and probably the one you are interested in, is a two port 10Gig SFP+ module. You can insert several different SFP or SFP+ transceivers into those two ports depending on the technology you need. You could fill both module slots with the same type of module giving you up to four 10G ports.
See the datasheet for more info: http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/ds/DS_2920SwitchSeries.pdf Specifically, look at the last page where the optional modules and transceivers are listed.
