Is the 8206/8212 being left behind?

I have noticed that a new firmware version K.16.01.0004 is out for many of the provision switches, including the original 5406 and 3500.  However I bought into the 8212 for redundant management before the 5406r came out.  There are no new updated firmware (of the k.16 version) for the 82xx switches.  Anyone know if my switch is being left behind?

I get that it is not supported in this version, my question is will they support it in future versions.  Or am I stuck at version 15?

Ah, sorry.  It will not be supported in future releases.  It will continue to get fixes on current branches but K.15.18 is the last major release for 8200/6600/6200.
