Microsoft Server 2012 NIC Teaming with Procurve 2920 switches.
Hi,
We have 2 identical HP Servers with Microsoft Server 2012, in combination with 2 2920 switches. We are trying to do a setup that is similar to the Departmental Cloud Whitepaper that HP released.
http://h17007.www1.hp.com/nl/en/converged-infrastructure/converged-systems/appsystems/microsoft-departmental-private-cloud.aspx#.UpxImNLmO5w
Our setup uses the same hardware as used in the whitepaper except for the switches which are Procurve 2920 Switches instead of the E2910.
We have 3 vlans Management, Cluster and Production, and the problem is with the Production Vlan.
The production vlan is connected as follows (Exact details can be found in the whitepaper):
1 trunk of 2 ports between the 2 switches
Server A Port 1 to Switch A (Production Team Server A)
Server A Port 2 to Switch B (Production Team Server A)
Server B Port 1 to Switch A (Production Team Server B)
Server B Port 2 to Switch B (Production Team Server B)
As soon as I connect both cables of the NIC Team all connections to the server might (not always, but most of the time) stop working.
Do the 2920 switches require additional configuration compared to the E2910 switches? We also have a similar setup with 2 old unmanaged switches that works.
Hope anyone can help, and thanx in advance.
Pascal
