Need to block download port
Hi All,
i have issue with some users as they use the company network to download large files from the internet , i need to block internet download for them by the Hp switch procurve 2610 and 2620.
i'm sure there are a way to do that ,please advise

Hi,
This would be a typical job for the firewall I would believe, you could create an ACL on these switches to block some UDP/TCP ports and some IP ranges, but that would never block *all* downloads.
You need a device with more L7 capabilities, so that would typically not be your switch ...
