Procurve 2824 loses Uplink at regular intervals
Hi
I have a Hp procurve 2824 with an uplink to another one, this uplink loses connection every morning at 4:30 a.m for about 5 minutes then reconnects. I have checked the logs and nothing is showing, no errors, no drops.
This is one of around 30 Switches in the LAN and only this one drops the connection. No Spanning tree involved.
Anyone have any idea what it could be or where I could start to look?
Thanks

Maybe the problem is simply mains power related. Did you check the uptime of the switch?

Re: Procurve 2824 loses Uplink at regular intervals
The next most obvious thing is - how do you know you've lost the uplink?
If it's only an ICMP check, then there are things that could stop ping without actually affecting the link.
Check your CPU stats for that time to see if there is a spike, try a ping *through* the switch instead of to it.
