Stacking a2910AL and 5412
I came across an HP article that said the a2910AL and the 5412 were not candidates for stacking.
If this is true, I need a bit of help.
I have a 5412 that is at capacity POE+ wise although I have several ports available for non-POE devices.
I would like to add (or stack) an a2910AL-48-POE+ to allow more POE devices on this network. It is my understanding that the 2910 has gigabit fiber connections and the 5412 can have 10Gb fiber. I do not have the expansion module for the 2910 to accept 10Gb.
What is the smartest way to connect these 2 devices physically, Copper or fiber? They will be in the same rack.

Re: Stacking a2910AL and 5412
Ýou don't have 10Gb, so you can only cascade/link the two switches by Gigabit. Because both switches resides in the same closet connecting by Gigabit copper would be ok. To add more bandwith between the two devices you can create a Link Aggregation Group ("trunk" in provision code) of more Gb links.
