Trunk Type Question
I am wondering what type of Trunk to use in the follwoing situation for optimal performance and redundancy.
2 HP 5820's connected via IRF. These connect to a 5400 using 4 10 gig fiber cables across 2 10 gig line cards in the 5400.
5820 options
Static (LACP Disabled)
Dynamic (LACP Enabled)
5400 Options
LACP Status - Disabled, Active, or Passive
Trunk Type None, Trunk, LACP, dt-lacp, dt-trunk
My 2nd question is I am teaming 2 10 gig network cards in several Hyper-V Host servers. On the host I have selected LACP teams within the intel management console. These teams will connect to the 2 5820's providing redundancy. Similar to my question above what would be the best way to configure the 5820 for each Server host team?
