HP Server Provisioning 7.4 - Install Windows 2008 R2 onto BL460C G9

Hello,

I'm trying to perform a scripted install of Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise onto a BL460C G9 using HP Server Provisioning Appliance v7.4.  Since the G9 is now using UEFI boot instead of legacy BIOS, the provided scripts from HP don't seem to allow installation of Windows 2008 R2 onto a G9 - even if I change the boot mode to LEGACY.

Problem appears to be b/c Windows 2008 R2 can only be installed to an MBR partition, but the build script detects UEFI and wants to create a EFI system partition and a windows partition that uses GPT partition table instead of MBR.  Windows installation fails b/c 2008 can only be installed to MBR disk.

I am able to capture a Windows 2008 R2 image from a BL460C G8 (single partition, no ESP partition), but when trying to deploy the image (single WIM file) to a G9 in LEGACY BIOS mode, the HP scripts still detects UEFI and searches for a WIM_ESP file that contains the EFI system partition.

BTW, Windows 2012 R2 works fine.

Thanks,
Peter
