HYPER-V issue with HP DL 380 G7 Server
Hi,
I am facing issue with HYPER-V on the DL 380 G7 Server. I have successfully installed windows 2008 R2 with SP1 Datacenter server on the DL 380 G7 hardware. There are one SAN LUN presented to this hardware (around 1 TB size).
SAN storage: HP EVA 6000
I have created virtual machine and the VM folder created under the SAN volume. I am unable to install windows 2008 R2 sp1 OS on the server. IT's giving error:
There are different kind of error is showing each installation time, I am using ISO file.
A disk read error occurred
status :0xc000000f Info: windows failed to load because the NLS data is missing or corrupt
Blue screen also showing.
But the Virtual machine created under the host local drive volume, it's working fine. I can able to install the OS on the VM.
I don't have idea about this issue. Please let me know any one faced earlier.

Re: HYPER-V issue with HP DL 380 G7 Server
That's odd. How many hard disks does the vm have and what type? ALso, have you vefified 100% that the LUN is intact with no errors?

Have you run a full check on the file system on the SAN?

Re: HYPER-V issue with HP DL 380 G7 Server
I have not worked with EVA's in a long time but,
It could possibly be a firmware upgrade is required on the VCS
