Time and Date BIOS update using RDP / Insight Control 7

Hi All,

I am try to find away to sync date and time in the BIOS using RDP / Insight Control 7.

I see there is some eariler post in 2003, but this does not seem to work with RDP / Insight Control 7.

I can see jobs caputre the bois settings and then redoply this. This does every setting expect the time and date!!

Thanks

In advance

Al

Not sure what you mean by sync time and date? That should be done at the OS layer generally.

Well when the servers come out of the box the date and time is normally like jan 2010 and cause windows issue with activation.

But seem when you deploy a image RDP correct the time

Ah yes, I know what you mean. Here's how I get around that. In the deployment Console go to Tools -> Options

Then Agent Settings

Select the option to Force new Agents to take these default settings and then click Change Default Settings

Select the option as shown above to force a time sync between the DS and the agent and hence the OS. The only issue you could have was if your DS and target servers are in different timezones but that's unlikely!
