BIOS RESET
How do you reset the BIOS password for DL380 G7?
I setup an administrator password but after restarting the server, I immediately went back to BIOS.
It won't accept my new password.

Re: BIOS RESET
Typically on Proliant servers, there's a set of DIP switches on the system board that can be used to disable the password security.
See the DL380 G7 Maintenance and Service Guide, pages 89 and 90:
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02159538/c02159538.pdf
Item 10 on page 89 is the "System Maintenance Switch" which is what you're looking for. It's a bank of small switches: a table on page 90 describes the functions of each switch.
If switch S5 (disables the power-on password) does not do what you need, you may have to use switch S6: it will clear all BIOS settings to the factory defaults.
