Bios Setting "Above 4G Decoding" on a ML310e Gen8 v1

Hello,

I run a ML310e Gen8 v1 with ESXi 5.5 since a few month.

I try to virtualise my TV-Media-Centre on this ESXi (with a PCIe DVB-S2 card) but the PCIe Passthrough don't work. A member of vmware esx community suggestet to switch th "Above 4G Decoding" in Bios - but I don't find this settings in the bios-settings. Today I install the latest bios (2013-11-09).

Is this setting on the ML310e GEn8 v1 not available ?

Best regards

Wolfgang

Hi,

This setting is not available in HP ProLiant servers.  I am not sure if its available in workstations or desktops.

What does this setting do?

Enables or Disables 64bit capable devices to be decoded in above 4G address space.

Thank You!
