Can CPU1 be transfer in CPU2 (HP Proliant ML350 G5)
Hi to All,
Can someone help me about my problem on HP Proliant ML350 G5. The issue is motherboard of cpu1 socket pin was bent. Motherboard of this server was two cpu socket. Now, my question is it possible to tranfer my processor from cpu1 to cpu2? What compatible PPM for CPU2? And then, even no processor installed in cpu1, possible will work and got display our server?
Thanks in advance to those who will help me and give some point of advise and knowledge about this issue.
Sincerely,
Gerome

Re: Can CPU1 be transfer in CPU2 (HP Proliant ML350 G5)
It must have a good CPU in socket 1.
So you will have to replace the system i/o bd.

Re: Can CPU1 be transfer in CPU2 (HP Proliant ML350 G5)
You mean so, I need Processor in CPU1 in socket 1 even though that my CPU1 pin was bent?
I just wondering if possible that my existing processor in CPU1 can transfer in socket2 processor and I will buy PPM for CPU2 to make it work...
Sincerely,
Gerome
