Hello.
I have Dl360 G5 with SmartArray 400i Embedded.
Now Array Configuration Utility is showing an warning "A firmware update is recommended for the controller"
My current Firmware Version is 4.06 and if i got it right there is the latest one:
But I have Win2008 r2 installed, and if i try to apply this firmware I get "the required hardware is not present in the system"
How can I update firmware or what did I do wrong?

Solutionhi,
Here is the latest version:
If the issue remains with this one also, you can try to update it stepwise. Some old versions can be found under revison history.
Thanks
regards,

Re: DL360 G5 SmartArray 400i firmware update
Like really, just need to update the firmware on a SmartArray 400i in a used server that I acquired.
Hours of hell later and can't get an update CD, and get anything.
You expect people to jump through all these hoops and purchase crap for firmware update. WTF?! This is PURE BS for the record.

Re: DL360 G5 SmartArray 400i firmware update
Chill a bit there. Don't worry, relax, it's not as bad as all that.
You can easily find the P400 firmware update and download it without needing a current support contract. Even the system BIOS update can be downloaded without a support contract just by finding the filename itself and going to the HP ftp site.
I could point you at the location, but I feel like you'd appreciate learning how to fish in this case so you can do it again if needed, for any other updates.
I'll give you a hint though, the latest P400 firmware is 7.24B and the Windows x64 update file is cp019157.exe.
