DL380 G2 Large Drive Support?

I am interested in migrating some older storage machines to DL380 G2's. I was just wondering if the integrated controller (5i) supports the larger than 72gb drives.

Specifically the 146 & 300gb'ers.

Anyone have any info on this? Having a hard time tracking down info regarding drive support.

The Drives work with no problems as far as I know on a 5i controller. The server docs don;t mention the drives since... well... the docs are older then the drives and they were not updated since the server was already EoL.


Now... supported by HP... thats a different story usually. I would think that the 146's at the very least are "supported", not sure about the 300's.

Awesome.. Thanks for the prompt response. I assume that these will only work at U160/U3 speeds depending on G1/G2 model of DL380?

The drives are all rated at U320 speeds, but should throttle back with no problems.
