DL380 G3 Losing & Finding Drives...
Over the last 2 weeks, we have had 3 servers that have seemed to have failed disks then crashed & after rebooting comes up at BIOS advising that the previously failed drives have been replaced & it boots up again all okay for hours and then fails again later...We have never had this error before & now we have 3...I was wondering is anyone has seen this before...

Re: DL380 G3 Losing & Finding Drives...
I am getting a 1784 due to bad firmware but I have no clue why you servers would be doing what you pasted from the event log.

Re: DL380 G3 Losing & Finding Drives...
Make a backup first just in case, but what happens if you swap the array into a different DL380?
Another thing to check is there is a firmware update for the SmartArray 5i. The newest firmware CD that works in the machine is v8.00 (the newer ones require a 64-bit server) and that 5i update is not on the CD, so you need to run it separately.
