DL380 G5 & Win2003 - Memory recognition problem
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere before, but I couldn't find it. I have a DL380 G5 with 10Gb RAM which is recognized by the BIOS on boot.
Problem I have is that Win 2003 server only sees 4Gb. I have turned on the /PAE extension, but this has made no difference. Is there anything on the HP BIOS or hardware that will help resolve this.
Thanks,
Barry.

Re: DL380 G5 & Win2003 - Memory recognition problem
Hi, Server 2003 Standard Edition, 32-bit version suppor 4GB RAM max, Server 2003 Standard x64 (64-bit) Edition support 32 GB RAM max. More info - see Comparison of Windows Server 2003 Editions
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc758523.aspx
With /PAE you can support 10GB by using Enterprise Edition or Datacenter Edition.
BR,
Oleg.
