DL580 G5 power button orange status light?

DL580 G5 power button on the front is showing orange instead of green.

Been through the ILO logs and ILO management, power management and nothing shows why this status light is this colour.

Anyone know what this means. Server is operating fine.

Haven't power cycled server yet.

Are you sure the server is booted up in OS mode? Orange means it in in power standby.

Re: DL580 G5 power button orange status light?

We have the same problem on DL380 G5. Server is powered on and working well. But Power On/Standby LED is amber, not green. There are no errors in IML, we tested server with a Diagnostic utility on SmartStart, server passes every test.

Have same problem. And solve it. Solution is check all molex on cable, that connected front panel with motherboard. They inserted very bad. Just use the force to insert they deeper. I did photo of my problem molex.

I followed your advice and made sure all the connectors from the front panel were pushed in all the way.

I rebooted our DL580 G5 system and the power button turned green.  Thanks.
