Re: Event ID: 264

I am having the same problem. The server is a dual NIC but not a dual port single NIC. I've tried disabling the unused NIC and plugging it in and using it. I still get the same problem. The error is slightly different with an "Unable to open the registry key "(null)"

Rebooting does not fix this problem and the server does not have a low memory condition. It doesn't seem to stop the machine from running but it's filling up my system event logs. If there was a real problem with the system I wouldn't know it because I would never find the event.

If anyone figures this one out...please post your fix!

For this problem, I have see this error last night after i switch ATM to GIGABIT NIC.
I try to find what wrong in my Server then I see "Compaq NIC Agent" Service still running
on my service management, That same as my error. I think may It can not find old NIC.
That you install HP Inside Manager? I think we can stop that service then error will gone.
