Firmware Online Flash for QLogic Fibre Channel HBA cp019064.exe does not work

The cp019064 installs correctly on BL465 G7 according to logfile C:\cpqsystem\hp\log\localhost\hpsum.log

The firmware on the Qlogic HBA does not get updated.

Expected firmware and BIOS versions in cp019064 according to reelase notes:

  • Firmware 6.02.00
  • BIOS 3.18
  • Firmware and BIOS on my G7 server after "succesfull" installation of cp019064:
    • Firmware 5.06.05
    • BIOS 3.13

Prior to the firmware update I have installed PSP 9.10 and cp017949.exe which is a prereq.

Why is the firmware not updated?

Some firmware updates may require server reboot to finish the update process. Did you reboot the server?

Hi,

cp019064.exe has been included in SPP.

HP Service Pack for ProLiant version 2013.02.0 Contents:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/doc/p1822529277/v85395/SPP2013.02.0-ContentsReport.pdf

You may update the system using the latest SPP

Re: Firmware Online Flash for QLogic Fibre Channel HBA cp019064.exe does not work

Hi

The BIOS and firmware did not change after a reboot.

Since there are no other prereq than cp017949.exe (witch is installed) I see no need to update to a newer SPP.

Any other suggestions?

Jesper
