Hi
I would like to know if the H240 Controller support can be configured in the following way:
I would like to connect on one port 2 SATA 500Gb disks that i would set as Raid 1 for the OS (Windows 2012 R2).
In the other port connect 2 SAS 2TB disks that would be (you guessed) be set as a Raid 1 for data.
Is this setup possible with this card?
It would be installed in a HP Proliant ML150 Gen9.
Thanks in advance.

Re: H240 Controller
My ml150 has 1 cage with the b140 controller, cables already installed will work for the SATA cage? Or should i buy another cable kit?
In resume, should i buy the h240 controller, 2 cable kits and 1 cage?

Re: H240 Controller
Don't know if you can understand my doubt.
I need to figure it out so i can ask for all components at once and minimize further delays.

Re: H240 Controller
Looking over the quickspecs, it appears you just need the second cage and 1 cable.
Before you order parts, what are you trying to accomplish?

Re: H240 Controller
Hello @hgg_ven
You have received some great information on your question. The only question that is lacking is according to page 3 of the HP H240 Smart Host Bus Adapter QucikSpecs the HP H240 is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 2012 R2. I recommend looking at the HP ProLiant ML150 Gen9 Server Option Parts, which will give you the part numbers for the drive cages and the cable kit you will need.
The HP H240 12Gb 2-ports Int Smart Host Bus Adapter (726907-B21), the HP ML150 Gen9 4LFF Hot Plug Drive Cage Kit (725872-B21), HP ML150 Gen9 8SFF Hot Plug Drive Cage Kit (725874-B21), and the HP ML150 Gen9 Mini SAS H240 Cable Kit (784606-B21) are all available directly through HP.
Another option is, I am able to connect you to an HP Sever specialist for more options or configurations. Please let me know if you are interested.
