HBA to fit in Server or not?

Dear All,

Sorry in advance if its not the right forum.

I have a DL380G4 Server and HBA Card Part number A8003A.

I want to be sure that this card can fit in the above mentioned server or not? and in future where can I get the compatibility list like this.

Thanks and regards,

Yasir.

Re: HBA to fit in Server or not?

Hi Yasir,

You can find the ProLiant/HBA compatibility matrix here:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/san/HBA-ProliantCompatibility.pdf

although that doesn't list the DL380G4...

The QuickSpecs for the HBA here:

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12338_div/12338_div.html

show that it is a PCI-Express card. The DL380 G4 doesn't have a PCI-E bus as standard, however you can install one as an option, part number 354675-B21.

The QuickSpecs for the DL380 G4 which detail this are here:

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12028_div/12028_div.HTML

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Rob
