Re: HP DL380p Gen8 SERVER REBOOTED AUTOMATICALLY
Consider to replace the super-cap and check if BIOS and ILO (version 2.44) is up to date.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP DL380p Gen8 SERVER REBOOTED AUTOMATICALLY
The supercap is a kind of battery (a capacitor) that supplies power to the array controller cache in case of power loss. Witchout such battery at least the write cache keeps disabled.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP DL380p Gen8 SERVER REBOOTED AUTOMATICALLY
I am unable to see the HPE partnumber of the Super-Cap. Would like a Super-Cap for
ProLiant DL360p Gen8
with
HP Smart Array P420i Controller
I am wondering if one would let me know the original HP partnumber of needed Super-Cap (for this Server with this controller) to replace it asap by giving this partnumber to our department boss for purchasing (boss) :-)
