HP ML350 G5 error 1792 and 1779 Smart Array E200i Controller and server does not boot

I have a n ml 350 g5 with an array A: 1+0 operated using 2 disk : one in bay 1 and another in bay 3 and one disk in bay 5 as hot spare.

I also have a disk that is not used in bay 4.

All disks are green.

When I try to boot the following error appear :

Slot 0 HP Smart Array E200i Controller 128mb,v1.20 1 Logical drive

1792-Slot 0 Drive Array - Valid Data Array Found in Array Accelerator

Data will automatically be overwritten to drive array

1779-Slot 0 Drive array - Replacement drive(s) detected OR previously failed
drive(s) now appear to be operational:
Port 1I: Box 1 : Bays 1,3

Logical drive(s) disabled due to possible data loss.
Select "F1" to continue with logical drive(s) disabled
Select "F2" to accept data loss and to re-enable logical drive(s)
(RESUME = "F1" OR "F2" KEY)

I have not yet tried to press F2 but I have

- made an ADU test (i attach the report)

-  made an ACU test with 271 and 771 as result error

Now what I have to do ? Can I press F2 safely ? or it possible data lost ?

Thank you

The ADU version report that is uploaded is pretty old, please download the latest ADU and update and then generate the ADU and upload it here.

** This is what I see from the current report

Logical drive 1 status = Failed
Array accelerator status:
Valid data found at reset
Dirty data detected. Unable to write dirty data to drives
Hardware Problem detected with Cache board.
Please replace Cache board.

Thank you for your answer.

I have done another ADU report with the smart start 8.70 and I attach the report here.

Re: HP ML350 G5 error 1792 and 1779 Smart Array E200i Controller and server does not boot

Their are two different issues on the controller right now

> Critical The cache is temporarily disabled

* This issue will be resolved by replacing the battery for the controller

> Message: Logical drive state: This logical drive has failed and cannot be used. All data on this logical drive has been lost.

* Now after checking the ADU I do not see any hard drives failures nor I can see the reason why the logical drive has failed, please boot the server to the Smart start and go to the ACU and check if you can enable the logical drive  . I'm afraid their is no other option than recreating the logical drive

Re: HP ML350 G5 error 1792 and 1779 Smart Array E200i Controller and server does not boot

Questions:

1) To enable the logical drive it is the same pressing F2 (since I have not yet tried) or go in to the ACU ?

2) Recreating the logical drive means that I will loose all the data ?

Thank you very much for the support

Enable by going into the ACU ( this may or may not result in data loss )
& Yes recreating the logical drive means - data will be lost

Re: HP ML350 G5 error 1792 and 1779 Smart Array E200i Controller and server does not boot

I have setup the server with 2 disk in mirror 1 adding 1 disk as hot spare for safety and now with all the disk safe I do not want to risk to loose any data for a cache memory !

So I called HP services, they asked 1035,00 Euro to send a technician.

The technician arrived this morning , removed all the disk except one of the aray and tried to boot activating the array using F2, the boot gone well and after the boot he added the second disk to rebuild the array.

Then he upgraded the firmware of the array card and all the error about the cache disappeared.

No pieces were changed.
