HP Proliant DL 380p Gen8 Amp Status flashing

Hello everyone

i've noticed that the led of AMP status is in orange and is flashing i checked out the manual for the proliant server but it deos'nt say much ...

Off = AMP modes disabled
Solid green = AMP mode enabled
Solid amber = Failover
Flashing amber = Invalid configuration

 

so i am asking here about the issue here thanks

 

what does AMP status Mean

Look under ILO here and see what it says

Oh i forgot to mention i'm using Vmware ESXI 6.0

so i don't have HP stuff installed like in windows server

iLO is independent of the OS. It will have more information about what is wrong.

as mentioned above, you can check hardware of your server directly from ilo4 without any drivers installed in ESX...
