HP Proliant ML 350p Gen8 heartbeat flashing red

Hi

When I came into work this morning our second server was unresponsive, with a flashing red heartbeat LED.  What does this mean?  I've gone through the Event lots but can't find anything in there of any use.  Where else can I look for information?

I assume the health LED?

possible status is

Green = Normal (system on)
Flashing amber = System health is degraded
Flashing red = System health is critical
Off = Normal (system off)

You should connect to ILO and check the components and IML log.
