Re: HP Smart Array P410 firmware request
Hopefully one can guide me to the proper " Firmware Maintenance CD ".
The disc should be from early 2011 if I am well informed.
Hopefully there is a link at the support section as theURL listed above is from 22 Jan 2010 ( 8.70 ) and is to old
Help is appreciated!
Cheers

Re: HP Smart Array P410 firmware request
SPP 2015.06 has version 6.64:
Why do you think you need such an old version?
History down to 1.58:
version 3.66

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HP Smart Array P410 firmware request
Using the 3.66B firmware the controller does not get in an infinite loop and boots up properly on my Asus P8H77-I, this can be found elsewhere on this forum. Main purpose was to access its ROM after initialising ( <F8> ) directly to be able to build the RAID10 array ( and eg. override battery setting ).
Once my array got built, I flashed to the latest firmware again ( 6.64 from 15 June ) and disabled the boot option ( ignore ) in the motherboard's BIOS in order to boot straight from a separate sata hard drive. The array is used for my VMs while the separate hard disk is being used for the Xen OS to boot.
As I am new to this HP product I might find out another way to do things, eg accessing the controller settings through software. However I am not sure if you can actually build an array once booted to an OS ( eg from a live CD ). Regular maintenance, eg firmware upgrades, should be no issue.
Thanks for your help, it is highly appreciated and gets me going to start testing on my XenServer

Re: HP Smart Array P410 firmware request
It says no controller found - can you see it in BIOS -> PCI devices and during boot?
Example (P220i here):
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
