HP insight agent fails to start (cqmgstor.exe)

We have a HP insight agent which fails as soon as it is started. I have upgraded to latest versions (8.70 - 9.20) but it hasn't helped.  This is running on windows 2008 r2 as part of a 3 node hyper-v cluster.  

the other 2 nodes the agent works  correctly.

hi,

Please check, if the SNMP service is working fine w/o any errors. Please check in ACU/ADU for hardware errors with the smart array controller. Please check, if the agents have correct credentials to run.

I have checked SNMP setting and all looks OK.  I get alerts on the SIM console. All other HP agents run OK and run as local system.

Checked the ACU/ADU no errors show up.

I have the same issue. HP DL380G7, Windows 2008 R2 Standard English.

Simon, have you resolved your issue ?

Can anyone explain, how can I escalate this issue to HP ?

I've got standard 3-years server's warranty.

No fix at the moment

hi,

You can try to deinstall and install again the latest hp management agents.

You can also try to replace the smart array controller, if you have this possibility.

Hi

cqmgstor.exe is HP Insight Storage Agent which is not getting started.

Check and update the smart array controller driver and firmware. Sometime this could be due to old storport driver which is provided by microsoft.

If this does not fix the issue then it could due to corrupt agents, so we need to stop other agents one by one to findout which agent is causing Storage agent not to start.
