Ilo error at boot after a firmware update on two DL380 G7
Hi everybody, in a company that i follow we have 3 hp dl380 G7, one Virtual Center with Windows 2008 and two Esx with VMware.
In an esx i had see several purple screen, so i updated the firmwares with an Hp smartupgrade firware dvd and the purple screens disapperead..but!
I've done the update on all the 3 server and now the Windows one work fine and the 2 esx can't find the Ilo at the boot...ouch!
Reboot doesn't helped..so what can i do?

Try to power cycle the box. I've done this a few times with success.
Also, we use ILO3 version 1.70 esp. on ESX.

You did not mentioned your present ILO3 versions.
Rule of thumb, if you try to achieve ILO3 version 1.70 any version below 1.28 you must upgrade first to version 1.28.
FOR EXAMPLE:
If present ILO3 is 1.15, you need to upgrade to ILO3 1.28.
for ILO3 1.28
Service Pack for ProLiant 2012.06.0B-0 (4 Jun 2012) 1.83GB 1.28
for ILO3 1.70
Service Pack for ProLiant 2014.02.0(B) (25 Apr 2014) 3.25GB 1.70

Thanks, i read the minimun firmware level specification, but the 3 servers i did the upgrade were identical, and 1 was successfull with also the firmware upgraded, so...
