IS it possible to install win server 2008 web Edition R2 on this...

Yes. Don't get fooled about the x86 mark, it's just saying the architechture of the HW. Nothing related to which OS it will support.

The hardware is 64bit.

Check out the quickspecs for supported OSes.

Under the "Standard features" section and the "Operating Systems and Virtualization Software Support for ProLiant Servers" subsection.

I checked these pages, But I am unable to confirm my question again.. I think I can't install 64bit OS in this hardware but there is no confirmation on the links..

Why do you keep saying you "can't install"?

The list of OSes I wrote in my previous reply is to show you that 64bit OSes are being installed on this server.

Win Server 2008 R2 is 64bit only and is included in the list of OSes for this server hardware as well. Did you look at the URL?
