We have DL360 G5 server with 32GB RAM and it is acting as a host machine which is holding 8 virtual servers. Till now its fine and very reliable.
One of our new project requires 2 Win2008 R2 server installed.
Will that be OK to install both servers virtually in DL360 G5 or do we need 64bit hardware for it?
Or can I install just one server on this host machine and other one on different server?
Please advise.
Can also have advise on this thread?

SolutionAll CPUs for HP ProLiant DL360 G3 support 64bit. See http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12476_div/12476_div.pdf in the end of page 4.

Re: Install Win2008 R2 on DL360 GB - 32bit hardware
what is your virtualisation product ???
Xen / Hyper-V / Vmware
of course as you already recieved advice in previous answer, its not possible run 64bit OS, on the 32 bit hypervisor.

Re: Install Win2008 R2 on DL360 GB - 32bit hardware
Simply its DL360 G5 server with Win 2003 Ent edition OS and we are using MS virtual server 2005 R2 for VM's.
As per the above answer I understand I cannot install Win 2008 R2 using above services???

Re: Install Win2008 R2 on DL360 GB - 32bit hardware
the question was only because there wasn't defined what type of virtualisation is used on the machine.
just now it clear, you ae using MS virt server and Windows 2003 ENT edition.
