Hello Guys !
Need a bit of help !
We have multiple old servers - DL580G7 and DL380G8.
G7's BIOS version shows P65, and DL380G8 BIOS version shows P70.
Can someone please let me know the best SPP version I can safely upgrade my servers to ? Should I do the whole SPP or just the BIOS upgrade ?
Finally, what does this P65 or P70 correspond to ? Which SPP is present right now on the servers ?

Re: Old Servers | DL580 G7 BIOS Upgrade
P65 is not a version , is more like the system family identifier.
You see the version here: System ROM Version: 2015.08.16
(consider the date as the version number)
compare to the version history:
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Old Servers | DL580 G7 BIOS Upgrade
Got it regarding P65/P70.
Can you pls tell me the SPP pack I can upgrade the server to ?
or do you recommend upgrading just the BIOS ? If yes, to what version ?

SolutionFound out that the customer was running ESX 4.1 - and based on that, the max SPP which we can upgrade is 2013.02.0 (B).
Though, also located a latest BIOS version too on HPE site.
So, the steps to upgrade would be -
Install SPP - to 2013 version
Once above is done, update BIOS to latest release as per HPE site.
