Plugging IMD in Proliant 1200

Hello all!

i got an IMD for my Proliant, but it didn't come with the Y adapter that is required for it to work on my PL1200.

what do I need to make this thingy work without the Y adapter? Are there any pinouts or something that could help to put it in place?

I could saw the connector in half too ;)

What part number did you order/ do you have? Is it the Integrated Management Display Option kit # 264377-B22 (option part number)?

Looks like you got the IMD for the Proliant 8500 - and I am not finding any separate part number for just the Y cable for the IMD kit for the 1200.

Hello Terri,

well, the maintenance guide for the proliant 1200 and 1600 says this is the correct IMD for my machine. I bought it based on this manual...

can i adapt it for use on the proliant 1200? the IMD is basically the same, right? just the cabling is different..?

Hey, i made it work!!

i adapted a floppy cable, cut the connector to fit the backplane properly, and reconnected the cables on the connector.
