Power Supply for Proliant DL380 G6 from DC to AC

The question is simple.  I have two HP Proliant DL380G6 servers with a DC Power Supply.

Currently I have two:

  • 437573-B21 – HP 1200W -48V DC Common Slot Power Supply

Can I just swap that out with one of these AC PART Number:

  • 503296-B21 – HP 460 W HE 12 V Hot Plug AC Power Supply Kit
  • 512327-B21 - HP 750W Common Slot High Efficiency Power Supply Kit
  • 500172-B21 – HP 1200W 12V Hot Plug AC Power Supply
  • 578322-B21 – HP 1200W Common Slot High Efficiency Power Supply Kit

We are putting into a HP Rack system which I believe is 220.

Yes, just replace with an AC power supply

Thank You.... I thought so, but someone put the question in my head that you could not.

Could you recommend one of them?  That I do not know.

Depending on the CPU's, memory and drives you might be able to get by with the 460 watt supply.  Since the DC units are 1200 watt, I'd probably go back with one of the 1200 watt AC supplies. Either will work, one is more efficient than the other
