Reset/Delete ML350 G6 Bios password

Hi,
I'm sure I know the Bios pwd but obviously I dont cos it wont work.
I need to either reset or delete the pwd as I want to change the raid setup and set the server up to use ESXi plus its not good being unable to change any settings.
Cheers.

Re: Reset/Delete ML350 G6 Bios password

Hi, you need to clear NVRAM in order to clear the BIOS password.
Follow the steps to clear the NVRAM (CMOS) configuration:

â ¢ Turn the server off and unplug it. Take the case off.
â ¢ Locate the System Maintenance switch on the system board.
â ¢ Turn the switch # 6 on the switch (System Maintenance Switch) to ON position
â ¢ Cycle the server power up and down.
â ¢ Reset the switch to the off position.
â ¢ Restore power and reconfigure the system (set the date and time and other configuration).

To locate the System Maintenance Switch on the system board, please refer the service and maintenance Guide for ProLiant ML350 G6 server from the URL given below:

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01711832/c01711832.pdf

Please note: refer page (11 of 144) in the above document for System maintenance switch location.
