WBEM on ProLiant DL/BL with Rhel5.5

Want to know whether WBEM could be used for ProLiant Servers running Rhel5.5 ?

Release history includes only Windows Servers.

Referring to the WBEM user guide in looks like there is not support for linux servers on ProLiant.

Need to know whether I am looking into the correct location and whether there is a support for WBEM on Linux ProLiant DL/BL Servers.

ProLiant Management Agents for Linux utilize SNMP; WBEM is not available at this time. At one point there was, but it was discontinued due to (lack of) user adoption. This was primarily because of the resource consumption of the OpenPegasus CIMOM was inconsistent with the "lean and mean" way that most Linux sysadmins want to run their systems.

Do you have any reference/link for the WBEM linux support previously for Linux OS.

I have checked the OpenPegasus site which shows that there are some rpms also present for download. So I guess there is support for the linux OS using WBEM ( OpenPegasus ). But I am not sure.

The HP Insight Management WBEM Providers web page shows that the supported OS is " ProLiant Servers (Linux) SLES11, RHEL5.3 (and later updates) " but other than this is no reference of the linux OS.

Require some help as I am not able to know for certain whether WBEM support is still present for linux server ? I do need some link/reference to claim that we do *not* have support for linux.
