What is required to upgrade to P410 Raid Controller on HP ML350 G5?

Hi,

Have ML350 G5 and want to maximize performance for a set of 1TB SATA drives and so I am thinking we could move from internal P200 Raid Controller to a P410 w/512MB BBWC.  What is involved here?  It appears that the P410 has an entirely different connector on it for attaching the drive cable so the cables used with the P200 will not work.  What cables do I need to go from the P410 to the ML350's LFF drive cage? Thanks.

You may try either AG452A to connect the hard drive cage to the controller:

Verify the connectors before buying.

Re: What is required to upgrade to P410 Raid Controller on HP ML350 G5?

hi,

Please check the quickspecs of the server.

The P410 controller is not listed there. That means, it's not supported for this server.

My suggestion is to use P400 and not P410.

regards,
