Xeon E5410 will run on DL 140 G3?

Hi,

At DL 140 G3 specifications:

DL 140 G# suport: Intel® Xeon® 5300 series,Intel® Xeon® 5100 series

But I want to run E5410 on that server.

We tried Intel Xeon 5420 (2.5 GHz, Quad Core) on the latest BIOS release, booted.. Ram count ok... but then a sudden message "Unsupported processor... please restart the server"...

The hardware supports it for sure (5000x chipset) I guess HP is blocking it via software,

Then in addition to this find below response from HP specialist:

Ellen HP Xpert: HP ProLiant DL140 Generation 3 (G3) doesn't support   Xeon 5400 series  processors.
