iLO light will not turn off
Hello,
I have a problem with a single server and I can't locate it.
Last week I saw that the UID light on this server was turned on. I don't know why because nobody has turned it on.
If I'm pressing the UID button on the front or back side of the server, nothing happens. The UID light stays on.
After this I log on on the iLO web interface of this server. Here I saw that the UID was turned off?! I turned it on and off again. After this the UID light is off!
A few days later the same issue again. The UID light was turned on and the iLO web interface doesn't recognize it.
Has anyone an idea what could cause it?
thanks!

Re: iLO light will not turn off
Keep in mind the UID is on if you are logged on to ILO.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: iLO light will not turn off
From what I recall, if someone is logged into iLO, then pressing the UID button on the server has no effect in turning it off

Re: iLO light will not turn off
Yes, you're right.
But in this case the light goes on independently although no one is logged in!
The last week, after I turned off the light manually it stays off until friday.
Today I see, the light is turned on again!

Re: iLO light will not turn off
Does the system have hpasm or hpasmcli installed? Maybe someone or some script is turning the light on with the utility?
