proliant dl320s hard disk question
i want to buy a hp proliant dl320s with 4 hdd sas 300Gb 3,5"in raid5 and 4 hdd sata 750Gb 3,5" in raid 5, it works correctly with discs of two various families or them I must acquire all equal ones?

yes you can do it no problem at all
you just create the RAID 5 using Hard drives(HDDs) of the same size or create another RAID level.
yes you can have HDDs with different size while they are compatible with the server you're buying
for example Dl320 g5

Please Clearify how are going to install these hdd ?
The DL320 is a 1U Server, It can support only Two HDD,& for the SAS HDD a supported controller needs to be installed, Check the link :
Maximum Internal Storage Type
SATA 1.5TB 2 x 750GB SATA

The G4 versions of these servers handled 2 drives and 6 drives SCSI or SATA.
There is a model of the DL320 that will handle 14 drives. It is the 415900. It holds 12 in front and you can add a back bay for 2 more.
