simple disk setup for proliant lm585

I brought an ML585 with no disks just to do some comp intensive work, no online, no networking.
Can anyone recommend the simplest disk setup, just 1 disk, etc. that will get me started.
Or do I need specific HP scsi 320 80 pin disks, etc.?
