Dualport NIC for microserver gen8

Hi,

i am currently looking for an additional dual port 1gb ethernet NIC for our hp microserver gen8.

The compatibility lists of possibly fitting cards often say: " for HP ProLiant Gen8 DL/ML/SL servers"

For example the HP Ethernet 1Gb 2-port 361T Adapter

Does this also include the microservers? (might be gen8 ML)

It would be great if someone could suggest a compatible dualport 10gb nic. (possibly even 10gb)

best regards

Hi,

For list of supported NICs refer HP ProLiant MicroServer Generation 8 (Gen8) QuickSpec:

Refer Option parts

Re: Dualport NIC for microserver gen8

The MicroServer is marketed as a low cost entry level system, dual port NIC's were not tested as options. That being said, there is no compelling reason dual port Gen8 NIC's won't work in the system.  The only tested and supported optional NIC is the HP NC112T PCI Express Gigabit Server Adapter as listed in the Quickspecs.

I would look at NIC options for the ML310e Gen8 as a guideline but keep in mind none of them have been tested by HP for support in the MicroServer
