Hello,
I have just buy an HP Gen8 G1610T + 1 HP's RAM HP 2GB.
Server won't boot if HP RAM is in DIMM slot CH1A, but only into CH2B.
If I use DIMM slot CH1A, when POST sequence initiate, process stop at 20 % and reboot, reboot...
I have bought 2 KINGSTON KTH-PL316ES/4G (4GB 1Rx8 PC3-12800E-11-13-01 ECC non registered) to replace the HP's RAM.
The server won't boot if the 2 new RAM modules are in the two DIMM. It only boot if only one RAM is installed in the CH2B slot.
(And at all the time, the POST sequence start, stop at 10%, reboot, then go on if on RAM is onto the CH2B, also strange for me)
ILO said this :
Memory Details
Processor 1 1 Not Present N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A
Processor 1 2 Good, In Use No N/A DIMM DDR3 4096 MB 1600 MHz 1.5 V 1
AMP Mode status : Advanced ECC.
I have process test with intelligent provisionning, nothing bad with memory. (in french, sorry)

So, I don't understand what's the matter !
The BIOS is dated from 06/06/2014
Is my server broken ? Need to return to vendor ?
Thank a lot for your help.
Best regards.

SolutionHi,
May be 1A DIMM slot is faulty.
Before concluding the slot is faulty, you may clear the Settings from BIOS or from System Maintenance Switch (S6) switch.

Hello @therevenger30
If you are in the United States, you can purchase the HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 G1610T 1P 2GB-U B120i NHP SATA Server (712317-001) directly from the HP Small and Medium Business web site. It looks like you may reside in another country, if this is correct, please advise what country you are in and I can give you a link to the HP Retail support in your country that may have the HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 G1610T 1P 2GB-U B120i NHP SATA Server.
Please let me know how I may be of more assistance.
