E200 w/3TB HDD only sees 800GB

I'm having an issue i've seen reported over the web as late as june of this year:

E200(w/128MB BBWC) with 3TB drives only sees them as 800GB!.

¿Why hasn't HP issued a firmware upgrade yet?

now i'm stuck with a huge array of non-functional disks in a high-urgency scenario.

What makes it more ridiculous is that HP lists the 3TB SAS/SATA HDD in the quickspecs sheet of the E200 as valid "related options": http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12460_na/12460_na.html

Attemtpting to contact HP by any means is practically impossilbe as the guided "hp support wizard" refuses to acknowledge any of the SN on my e200 card so i'm left with posting here as the only option
