How to identify arrays
I have several 4200 disk arrays with fiber cable.
In CPQ array config, it shows the array by SN. in NT Disk Admin, it lists them by device #.
How do I correlate sn to the nt device number?????
All disks are set the same as raid 0+1, so the arrays are all the same size. (and unidentifiable)
I need to migrate from the raid0+1 to raid 5
1) I dont see it but is it possibel to configure raid 5 with hot spare?
2) Any experience how long it takes to convert with 48 out of 52 Gigs is full of data?
A prompt answer would be most appreciated!!!

Re: How to identify arrays
Yes you can config a raid 5 with a hot spare and as for time I hear it takes about 20 minutes per gig of data on a rebuild. The serial # problems I don't know but will post anything if I find out.

Re: How to identify arrays
Actually the rule of thumb for a rebuild is about 1 hr per 1gb .
