My RAID-5 is dead, 5.12TB of informatiion is gone, PLEASE HELP.

I have a Smart Array P400 with 8 HD of 1TB in a RAID-5. I have 5.12TB of information and I shutdown the PC from power button directly and when I power ON and restart Windows, the only drive on MyPC was the SO hard drive, the RAID-5 drive IS GONE, please help. The message that Smart Configuration Utility shows is this:

Please, I need to repair the RAID-5. I needed many years to collect all that information.

Are any of the physical drives in the array showing red lights, signifying they are bad?

In the center pane (Configuration View) click show physical volumes. Expand everything and post screenshot.

Can you send more information about your config. Server make, model. Is this an external enclosure? if so what model.

Is a personal server, for storage. The PC is this:

Processor: Core2Duo E6600
Motherboard: ASUS P5k deluxe
RAM:2GB or DDR2800
OS: Windows 2003 server.
Controller: Smart Array P400 512MB with battery

Hello,

Smart Arrays controllers aren't supported in PCs. Sorry for that, but it's true...

Is the logical drive listed while booting up? Have you taken a look into the ORCA?

I'm guessing the card is not under a support contact and neither would the "server." I'm really not sure what to suggest because I can't promise it will get better, or even worse. You could check firmware and drivers to start. If that does not work you could select the Logical Drive and under Common Tasks select Re-enable Failed Logical Drive. Disclaimer, these suggestion are nothing more then "shots in the dark."

Select the controller and under Common Task select More Information. Post screenshot. Lets see if this firmware rev has a history of issues.
