P800 controller problem

Hello. I have a P800 controll with MSA-70 connected. And very often server "looses" the MSA-70 and users can't get access to they documents. At this time I can see following errors:

Source: Cissesrv
Event ID: 24584
Description: Too many runtime ECC errors have been received from the array controller P800 located in server slot 2. The controller has restarted without utilizing its DIMM.

Source: HpCISSs2
Event ID: 11
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0.

And then I can see a lot of system warning "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1 during a paging operation."

ACU says that Controller Status is "ATTR_VALUE_CONTROLLER_STATE_CACHE_PROBLEM",
Cache Status: Permanently Disabled
Cache Status Details: A cache error was detected. Run a diagnostic report for more information.

It all that I can see. And the most exciting question is: this is a controller issue or it's a problem with MSA?

Re: P800 controller problem

The DIMM on the controller may be bad.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: P800 controller problem

Cache Status: Permanently Disabled

Because there has been ECC errors on the controller cache.
Request the DIMM to be replaced.

Yes, it's a P800 cache problem. After replacing - it seems to be working fine.
