Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
I've recently bought a refurbished Smart Array 3200 controller.
It was very cheap and the only issue was: low battery.
my question: can I replace them ?
I've found no part number for the battery, but found one for the daughter card.
Can I buy separate battery and install them ?

Re: Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
Think the battery is integrated into the board:

Re: Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
but this is for a personnal use...
SO I think that I can cut cleanly the plastic around the battery and the replace them, and then use adhesive tape to fix it again.
The point is: can compatible batteries be found in a store (even a "battery store") or are then special ?

Re: Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
is this issue known ? (low battery)
I didn't find anything in the faq/forum/web...
But since english is not my native tongue I probably didn't search correctly...

Re: Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
Brand new supplied cards give the same battery low error message when first plugged in but then they charge up and work fine.

Re: Smart array 3200 controller: battery low ?
I installed the card in my system and ahd left it powered up for 1 week now.
I still have the "low battery" message in the HP Array Utility...
Should I plan to buy a daughter card ?
