d2600 and p812, logical drive failed....

Hello,

We have a d2600 connected to a p812 controller and windows server 2008 running.  We have the d2600 split into two logical drives, and today one of the logical drives failed and it said all data was lost.  First we checked to see if any of the drives were bad, and they are all fine as reported by the acu.  So we recreated the logical drive and all of the data is still there?  How is that possible?

Is this a faulty controller, or drive chassis?

Thanks,

Dan.

Re: d2600 and p812, logical drive failed....

hi,

Thanks for the log. I took a look on it, but everything seems to be ok - no errors on the drives and the controller.

It seems that the hdds are non hp - please correct me if i'm wrong. It can be a FW issue - incompatibility between the FW of the hdds and the controller.

Thanks
